This means I have a rather large collection of T206s that I would like to sell, all in one lot.
The lot contains a grand total of 165 cards, with very few duplicates. Among the 165 cards, 49 have been graded (48 by SGC, 1 by Global), and the rest are raw. Condition ranges from Poor to VG-EX, with the majority being very attractive G-VG to VG cards that retain exceptional eye appeal. Among the cards are a number of scarce Southern Leaguers, desirable horizontal cards, minor stars, and a handful of more difficult backs.
This is an excellent start to a T206 set on the eve of it's landmark 100th anniversary. For the past several years I have stored these cards in an elegant, cherry wood box from MJ Roop archivers. This is the most beautiful box Roop ever produced, and was sold for $139 each. I will ship the cards inside this box so that you can continue to store them in this elegant fashion if you choose.
Scans of these cards are NOT available, as there are 165 of them and I would prefer not to scan individual cards. I have scanned several that are representative of the entire lot, and describe the rest on this page.
Also, please accept my apologies - I know that there are several people who have inquired about individual cards from this lot because they are team collectors, or pose collectors, etc. I have thought about it and decided that I really want to sell this as one entire lot of cards, rather than break them into small groups or individual cards. If I cannot sell them in this fashion, I would rather consign the entire lot to auction than break them up.
For the remainder of 2008 I will be taking offers on this lot of cards. Given the content of the lot as well as historical (and recent) prices in VCP, I will let these go for the best possible offer over $4,000, with checks or money orders (as opposed to Paypal, where I have to pay fees) factored in.
